South African fashionistas may have had their annual fill of prêt-a-porter and haute couture, thanks to the recent spate of country-wide fashion weeks, but, for the true trendsetters and fashion professionals – the vanguard of the fashion world - the latter part of the year heralds the Graduate Fashion Shows!

Graduate shows provide a breeding ground for the trend-setting young designer who, on a limited budget, wants to challenge and expose the creative underbelly of the “New South African Design”. Its main objective is to afford the student an opportunity for self-promotion through range display and interaction with the fashion fraternity.
